ALM Client Launcher is available in two flavors: installer and portable.
The ALM Client Launcher portable is a single executable file that does not need installation, it is ideal for users who want quick and direct access to ALM from a common or less restricted device.
The ALM Client Launcher installer, instead, offers a more complete user experience that is comparable to the way of accessing ALM through Internet Explorer. This could significantly mitigate the impact of IE decommissioning to deliver ALM in your organization. The installer for ALM Client Launcher simplifies the process of distributing it to all end-user client computers using a software distribution product or via Windows Server Group Policy.
Both the portable and installer versions of the ALM client launcher do not need administrative privileges to execute or install. Additionally, the Client Launcher installer includes an option "install for all users," which requires admin rights.
