The SAP Accelerator for ALM Octane package consists of an ALM Octane template space file.
The template space is set up with pre-defined structures for requirements, application modules and tests based on SAP Fiori Apps Reference Library.

Description

The package models ALM Octane assets around SAP Fiori Apps Reference Library as follows:

  • The SAP Fiori Apps are imported into the ALM Octane Requirements module.
  • SAP specific fields (SAP App Component, SAP Product Category, SAP Semantic Object, etc.) are added in ALM Octane, to track and trace quality across all entities.
  • SAP Functional Modules (SD, FI, MM, etc.) are mapped as Application Modules in ALM Octane.
  • Manual Test placeholders are created per each SAP App and linked to the relevant requirement and application module.

You can customize and extend all SAP related entities according to your needs.

Please note that importing this package is not supported if you are using LDAP authentication.

Minimum Requirements

  • The .osa import file included in the package relies on ALM Octane’s export and import space functionality. For more information, please refer to the ALM Octane Help Center.
  • The space can only be imported to the same version of ALM Octane from which the space was exported. please select the package release name that matches your ALM Octane version.
  • Export and import are only supported for the same database vendor. For example, a space exported from Oracle can only be imported into Oracle. please select the .osa file name that matches your database vendor.
  • ALM Octane on SaaS customers should contact the SaaS operator to import the package to the supported ALM Octane versions

Environment Setup:

  • Search and run history, trends, and audit information are not included in the import/export
  • Should you need to move data from the imported space to another space, you can use export/import to excel
  • Please note that importing this package is not supported if you are using LDAP authentication
