SAP Change Impact Analysis (CIA) for OpenText CSDP(CSDP ) connects SAP S/4HANA transport management to CSDP quality management, so that every SAP transport released into a landscape is automatically translated into business language and matched against existing test coverage. Instead of asking a functional team to manually interpret a list of ABAP objects, CIA answers the question customers care about before a release: which business processes are affected, which of our tests already cover that change, and which changes have no test at all.
The solution is delivered as three cooperating components:
● SAP CIA backend (/OTCIA/CIA_OBJECT_ANALYSIS) – an ABAP add-on installed on the SAP S/4HANA on-premises system. A scheduled background job reads released transport requests, resolves each changed object to its owning application component and business process, computes a business impact level, and exposes the results through an OData V4 service.
● SAP CIA MCP server – a Python-based Model Context Protocol server that orchestrates the end-to-end analysis: it calls the SAP OData service for transport and impact data, calls a Large Language Model (LLM) to enrich transaction codes, Fiori app IDs and impact narratives, matches impacted transactions/apps to existing CSDP tests, and reads/writes test data in CSDP.
● CIA sidebar plugin for CSDP (CSDP External Actions) – a side-panel action, installed as a CSDP Action bundle, that functional users and Quality Manager s use to trigger an analysis, review results, create missing tests, and export a report with complete SAP Transports Overview.
