Micro Focus Connect Core is a data synchronization technology that provides data and relationship synchronization between products across the software development / DevOps lifecycle. It is available as a utility (Micro Focus Connect Core) free-of-charge to all Micro Focus customers to be used to synchronize data with Micro Focus products, only.
Customers must have an active support and maintenance agreement to be entitled to use MF Connect Core.
Connectors allow organizations to share up to date information across their DevOps applications and teams, giving them visibility and traceability across applications without the need for custom scripting and individual integration maintenance.
A number of connectors come pre-packaged with the base utility (Micro Focus Connect Core); other connectors must be downloaded separately (this page as well as MF Connect Core Connectors).

This connector has been designed and validated to exchange SAP SolMan data with ALM Quality Center and ALM Octane. Data synchronization with other Micro Focus products supported by MF Connect Core is also possible.
This version allows access to the following SAP SolMan artifacts:
Enabling the integration between SAP Solution Manager and Micro Focus products requires three (3) components which all need to be deployed for the integration to be functional.
Component 1:
Micro Focus Connect SAP Connector which integrates with the SAP Solution Manager Add-On (component 2) for the purpose of data access.
The components which will be deployed within the Micro Focus Connect environment are the contents of the archive "mfcConnectorSolman_v{Version Number}.zip".
The contents of the archive are to be placed in a subdirectory of the "connectors" folder of an existing MF Connect Core installation - for example: "C:\Program Files\Micro Focus\Connect\AppData\connectors\mfcConnectorSolMan".

Component 2:
SAP Solution Manager add-on - the second part of the integration consists of a plugin that runs on the SAP platform and executes all data access activities.
The components which will be deployed within the SAP environment are the contents of the archive "solman{Version Number}.zip".
This component is included in this download and should be deployed within the SAP environment by a SAP Basis administrator.
If you want to use the SAP SolMan connector to sync with a Micro Focus product other than ALM or Octane, please contact Customer Care (open support case for your MF product and mention in the case that it is about MF Connect and the SAP SolMan connector).
Please note that if you are upgrading from a prior version of the SAP Connector then please follow the upgrade process and use the approriate upgrade files.
The components which will be deployed by a SAP BASIS Administrator within the SAP environment will be dependant on if upgrade or new installation. The SAP Basis Administrator will require the appropriate files:
