The Connect IT scripts synchronize the LDAP groups to HCMX as functional groups and maintain the users within each functional groups to that of the LDAP groups. The users are synchronized using the IDM, and users available in HCMX are added to the functional groups if they are also associated to the same group in LDAP. This is useful for the features like Group Owned subscriptions, and Catalog access thru Entitlement rules.
