The MicroFocus Service Manager and MicroFocus uCMDB Plug-ins allow users to manage their ITSM and CMDB applications respectively by providing interaction between vCO and MicroFocus servers. vCO administrators and workow developers can create and run orchestrator workflows that do things such as automatically create and update vCenter change requests within the MicroFocus Service Management system and create and update ITSM Help Desk tickets concerning failures within vCenter that require manual intervention, or create and update configuration items and Cl relationships in the uCMDB.

This information is intended for users who are using the Micro Focus UCMDB plug-in for vRealize Orchestrator. This information is written for experienced users who are familiar with virtual machine technology, with Orchestrator workflow development, and with Micro Focus UCMDB.

Overview

This release is for the vRO MF UCMDB Plug-in from Tech Data. This plugin provides the capability to create, read, delete, and update UCMDB configuration items and relationships automatically via Orchestrator workflows.

The Tech Data vRO plugin has several internal features that are specifically designed to automate process and data integration with Micro Focus UCMDB servers. This release has several out of the box sample workflows which result in a faster time to market of the overall solution.

What Does the MF UCMDB Plug-In Do?

The MF UCMDB plug-in provides an interface between Orchestrator and MF UCMDB servers. Orchestrator administrators and workflow developers can create and run Orchestrator workflows that do such things as automatically create, update, query, and delete configuration items (CIs) and the relationships between configuration items, as part of the ITIL Change and Configuration Management processes.
