This is a node centric approach to ad hoc downtime management. Downtime is started and stopped by an OMi user clicking a Tool, or it could be a CLI-driven process run on the OMi server. Behind the scenes, it puts the node into an outage node group which is assigned to an outage user group. An EPI script processes events assigned to the outage user group and either closes or discards them. A CI centric, event-driven approach to ad hoc downtime management is also available.

The OMi Content Pack contains the rules, filter and EPI script definitions. The RTSM package contains the view (and TQL) that is used in the OMi user group assignment rule.
