This package is intended to provide assistance to those who desire to have a Highly Available version of the PostgreSQL Database System. It is based on the standard PostgreSQL "Streaming Replication" and utilizes Pgpool-II for its virtual IP ingres and mature HA features. There are many ways to configure both PostgreSQL and Pgpool, some of these methods may improve performance over this documented method. We hope this package will help you meet your needs.
