The purpose of this Content Pack is to show the potential value in integrating UCMDB with Storage Operations Manager. The integration involves synchronizing devices, topology, and hierarchy of a customers’ storage infrastructure in the UCMDB database (CMDB). This will enable Change Management and Impact Analysis across all business services mapped in UCMDB from a Storage point of view.
The integration currently involves a UCMDB initiated discovery on the Storage Operations Manager REST API. Synchronized Configuration Items (CI’s) currently include Storage Arrays, Fiber Channel Switches, Hosts (Servers), Storage Fabrics, Storage Pools, Logical Volumes, Host Bus Adapters, Storage Processors, and Fiber Channel Ports. The integration also synchronizes physical relationships between various hardware and logical relationships between Logical Volumes, Storage Zones, Storage Fabrics, and hardware devices to enable end-to-end mapping of the storage infrastructure in UCMDB.

This content pack provides integration of HP SOM 10.10 with HP UCMDB 10.20 CP16 and OMI 10.01.
NOTE: Install both Storage_Basic.zip and HP_SOM_Integration.zip. To install Storage_Basic.zip, follow instructions similar to what is mentioned under the section "Install the Integration" section of HP-SOM-10.10-UCMDB_Integration_Guide.pdf
