OMi Management Pack for SMTP works with HP Operations Manager i (OMi) and enables you to monitor the availability of SMTP servers operating in your environment. SMTP is an Internet standard for electronic mail transmission and uses the TCP port 25 by default. OMi Management Pack for SMTP includes Aspects to montior the availablity of the SMTP Server and store the metrics in HP Operations agent data store which can be used by the reporting and graphing solutions.
Prerequisite: OMi Management Pack for SMTP depends on the Monitor Framework package which must be installed prior to installing the Management Pack. It is recommended to install the latest version of the Monitor Framework available under OMi Management Pack Development Kit for latest features and quality enhancements.
