Description

omnijce2schedule Migrates JSON files (representing Web-based schedules) created by omnidbutil -export_schedules to regular schedule files accepted by the Data Protector Legacy scheduler (available again since Data Protector A.10.20). This allows users to properly revert back from Web based scheduler because the command omnidbutil -reinstate_legacy_schedules only moves back previously existing schedule files. It is the only option to also convert new or changed schedules back to the Legacy scheduler. New hourly schedules are translated into multiple schedules in one file.

It is up to the user to validate and move the created schedule files to the apropriate schedule directories. The converted schedule files are stored in the same directory as the JSON files and they have the same name (no file extension).

IMPORTANT: Remove related Web schedules to prevent double execution! Commands are generated to assist you.

Minimum Requirements

Data Protector Cell Manager A.10.20 and later on Windows and Linux. HP-UX is expected to work. The script is executed on the Cell Manager using the included Perl5 runtime.
