This utility will physically remove storage slots from a StoreOnce, StoreOnceSoftware or Data Domain device that is not known in any of the specified Data Protector Media Pool(s). If the media of a B2D Library is stored in more than one Media Pool you must specify all the associated Media Pools or the script will consider the storage slot as unknown and delete it. It is also possible to use the keyword ALL to check all pools.
It will only delete storage media from disk if the delete option is used. If not, it will just create batch files that can be reviewed and executed from a command prompt or shell.
CAUTION: Sharing a Data Domain Logical Storage Unit (LSU) or StoreOnce Catalyst Store between multiple Cell Managers may result in permanent data loss! Validate the results before running the actual delete operation. since there is no way to restore a slot that has been deleted.
